Haddon Hall Yards of Distinction honors homeowners and residents who make an extra effort to maintain lush and beautiful landscaping.
Awards are given once during each season; the nomination period for the Summer 2010 awards has closed and winners will be announced shortly. Two homeowners will be awarded gift certificates to a local merchant and each will have a Yard of Distinction sign displayed in their front yard.
Judges will use the following criteria as guidelines when choosing the Yards of the Distinction:
- The yard is neatly groomed.
- The yard is pleasing to the eye with a variety of plants and landscape features.
- Buildings, fences, porches and hardscapess on the property are in good repair.
- The yard is free of litter, debris and junk.
- Extra consideration may be given to yards which show additional effort.
