Landscaping on Pond Shoreline Completed
Posted on Dec 19th, 2010

Second Nature recently completed the landscaping project at the Haddon Hall pond.

The design is not only visually pleasing, it is also designed to reduce the number of  geese that make the pond their permanent home.
The large swaths of mulch beds and the chosen plants and established warm weather sod will discourage the geese from overpopulating the pond. Two string lines were installed along the shoreline to discourage the geese as well. Humanely reducing the geese population is a multi-faceted challenge. One of the most important steps is to not hand-feed the geese.
Please avoid treading on the the young plants while they get established.
